Why is it difficult to hold a school bag having a strap made of a thin and strong string?
It is difficult to hold a school bag having a strap made of a thin and strong string because such a string applies higher pressure.
Explanation
Basically, the pressure exerted by a force is inversely proportional to the surface area.
As in the given case, the string has a lower surface area, pressure will be very high on the shoulders or hands. This would cause difficulty to hold such a school bag.
