Which element is used in the synthesis of proteins?
a) Aluminium
b) Magnesium
c) Phosphorus
d) Nitrogen
So, the element is used in the synthesis of proteins is Nitrogen i.e the option (d).
Reason being simply that proteins are made up of amino acids and amino acids are made up of amino groups attached to alpha carbon atoms and all amino groups have Nitrogen. So, Nitrogen is an important element in the synthesis of proteins.
