Where are proteins synthesised inside the cell?
Proteins are synthesised in Ribosomes inside the cells.
Explanation:
The ribosome is a typical component of our cell whose main responsibility is biological protein synthesis. These are also called Palade Granules.
Ribosomes were first observed by the Romanian-American cell biologist George Emil Palade in the mid-1950s. Hence the name Palade Granules.
Ribosomes can be classified into two categories based on location
1. Free Ribosomes: These can be found anywhere in the cell in the cytosol.
2. Membrane-Bound Ribosomes: Ribosomes can become membrane-bound when an organelle needs the protein being synthesised. This can be seen in the rough endoplasmic reticulum.
