        Discriminant of 9x2 + 2 = 10x is 28

        Solution:

        Discriminant of a quadratic equation ax2 + bx + c is

        => b2 – 4ac

        Given equation is 9x2 + 2 = 10x

        Moving 10x to the left we get

        => 9x2 – 10x + 2 = 0

        Comparing with general form of equation

        => a = 9, b = -10, c=2;

        Substituting into the discriminant formula, we get

        => (-10)2 – 4(9)(2)

        => 100 – 72

        => 28

        So, the discriminant of 9x2 + 2 = 10x is 28
