The river Indus has its origin in Tibet near Lake Mansarovar and the river Ganga has its origin in the Himalayas.

River Ganga: Ganga or Ganges is the longest river in India with a staggering length of 2,704 Kilometres. Starting in the Himalayas, it flows through India and Bangladesh and merges with the Bay of Bengal at the Ganga Delta also known as Sundarban Delta

Ganga starts at the meeting point of the rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda in the town of Devprayag, Uttarakhand. According to Hindu mythology, Bhagirathi is considered the source of the river Ganga. The headwaters of the Alakananda are formed by snow melt from peaks such as Nanda Devi, Trisul, and Kamet whereas Bhagirathi starts at the foot of Gangotri Glacier.

River Indus: Indus river is another gigantic Asian river with a length of 3,120 kilometres. It starts near Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar in western Tibet and flows through Kashmir, then Pakistan before emptying into the Arabian Sea near Karachi.
