    Slope of line AB which contains points A(4, 5) and B(9, 7) is 2/5.

    Solution

    Slope represented by m of a line given two points on the line (x1, y1), (x2, y2) is as following

    = (y2 – y1) / (x2 – x1)

    Given two points are A(4, 5) and B(9, 7)

    So, we have x1 = 4, x2 = 9, y1 = 5, y2 = 7

    Substituting in the above formula, we get

    Slope(m) = (7-5)/(9-4) => 2/5

    So, the slope of the line is 2/5
