    The range of the given function {(–2, 0), (–4, –3), (2, –9), (0, 5), (–5, 7)} is {-9, -3, 0, 5, 7}

    So, what is range here?

    In a function (f(x)=y) mapping as shown in the image below, the set of values on the right side or y side is called codomain. The values which are mapped in the codomain constitutes the range of that function.

    Domain Range

    So, here if we take the given function {(–2, 0), (–4, –3), (2, –9), (0, 5), (–5, 7)},

    the y values are 0, -3, -9, 5, 7 which when put in a sorted order gives us the range as

    Range = {-9, -3, 0, 5, 7}
